Breaking: Steelers Shock NFL with Another Star Player Acquisition in Latest Mock Draft
Pittsburgh In the most recent NFL.com mock draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers acquire a much-needed wide receiver to their attack.
According to NFL.com’s Pete Schrager, the Steelers will select LSU wideout Brian Thomas Jr. with the 20th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The publication projected that Pittsburgh would add to their offensive in the first round, continuing the team’s summer habit of wideout choices.
“I’m still waiting for Omar Khan, the general manager of the Steelers, to make a big impact at wide receiver this offseason. Is that possible in exchange for Brandon Aiyuk? If not, Schrager noted, Thomas is a unique talent who benefited from his own uniqueness at the combine more than any other player at the position.
To go with George Pickens, the Steelers need another starting wide receiver. According to reports, they have been considering veteran possibilities like Tee Higgins and Brandon Aiyuk, but if they are unable to acquire one through a trade, the NFL Draft will be their next course of action.
After Pickens, Thomas would enter Pittsburgh as the number two pick and appear to be a reliable contributor straight away. Van Jefferson, Calvin Austin, and Quez Watkins would probably complete the depth chart.
