Georgia Football getting key defender back next season.
Over the past 24 hours, Georgia football has received a lot of positive news. The first piece of news was that Zachariah Branch, a star wide receiver, and his brother Zion Branch, an elite transfer from USC, were signed by UGA. On the defensive end of the ball, Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs received equally positive news Monday morning, though news does not really get much better than that.
Christen Miller, a standout defensive lineman who has been with Georgia for two years, just finished a strong season with 27 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and one pass defense. This offseason, Miller faced a difficult choice: he could have declared for the NFL Draft, but instead he posted on Instagram that he would be returning to Georgia for the 2025 campaign.

Christen Miller will be a leader on defense next season
Miller had an excellent season overall on the defensive line for the Bulldogs, despite not having the best stats for Georgia this season. He demonstrated that he is most effective when he stuffs runs, but he can also get to the quarterback. And with this season of experience behind him, there will be a lot of pressure on him to perform well the following year.
And Miller will probably live up to those expectations because he will be a team starter and a defensive leader. Throughout the Smart era, Georgia’s defensive line was always strong, and this announcement will not change that.
The expectations for the upcoming season are already very high, despite the fact that Georgia’s season did not end as everyone had hoped. And since UGA is not going anywhere, those expectations will only grow if Georgia keeps getting positive news like this.
