We are saying goodbye to an amazing man today who gave Salisbury FC his all and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure things ran smoothly. Ian handled everything, including website and social media updates, marketing, events, and commercials.
Our manager once told us that no one was indispensable when one of my well-liked coworkers decided to leave the company we worked for many years ago. He might be right, but certain individuals are a lot less disposable than others! One such person is Ian Pearson, a friend and coworker who is leaving the club this week after nearly seven years there.
He initially joined to assist on the field when playing walking football with other SFC volunteers, but he soon assumed control of our website. From the beginning, he quickly assumed responsibility for overseeing our sponsorship relationships, making hospitality plans, and expanding our media services to include the rapidly expanding social media platforms.
