Mountaineer Feud in Cross Country Called Off

BOONE, N.C. – The App State cross country team’s Mountaineer Feud meet, set for Oct. 18 at the Don Kennedy Trails at State Farm, has been canceled due to the effects of Hurricane Helene.

To prepare for postseason racing, the Mountaineers will split the weekend of Oct. 18 and 19. The women’s team will head to Rock Hill, S.C. for the Adidas Winthrop Invitational on Friday. The meet had originally been scheduled for Sept. 28, but was postponed due to dangerous conditions from the hurricane. The men’s team will head to Charlottesville, Va. for Virginia’s Panorama Farms Invitational on Saturday.

The Sun Belt Championships are slated for Nov. 1 in Foley, Ala.
