Ipswich Town reportedly made an impressive proposal to secure Omari Hutchinson from Chelsea, despite interest from Stuttgart
Omari Hutchinson, a forward for Chelsea, is being pursued by Ipswich Town and Stuttgart.
After a stellar season on loan in the Championship, where he scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 44 games to help Ipswich win promotion in his first full season as a senior football player, the 20-year-old is being pursued.
The Tractor Boys are looking to extend manager Kieran McKenna’s contract and are interested in signing Hutchinson to a loan or permanent agreement.
Hutchinson was also in attendance at Stuttgart’s last home game on Saturday against Borussia Monchengladbach. The German team has qualified for the Champions League for the following season.
Ajax and Feyenoord, two massive Dutch teams, are apparently considering a loan move as well.
Hutchinson’s Stamford Bridge contract has been extended by Chelsea until 2026 by exercising an option. They can use it as leverage to decide how best to handle the young player’s future as they look to hire Enzo Maresca of Leicester City as their new manager.
Hutchinson, who joined the Blues from Arsenal in 2022, will shortly meet with Maresca to discuss whether to keep, loan, or sell the player.
