Breaking: Southampton’s St. Mary’s Stadium Fully Booked as Fans Rally for West Brom Playoff Clash
Just a few hospitality tickets remain for the Play Off semi-finals, and Saints supporters have already shown out in large numbers for the home leg of the match after the team’s 2,000 away game at The Hawthorns sold out in a matter of hours.
Even though the first leg of the match is still three days away and more than a week away, Southampton FC has announced that all of the tickets in the general seating sections of St Mary’s Stadium have been sold out for the visit of West Bromwich Albion.
Although there are still hospitality packages available, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a mad rush to get tickets in these places.
The Saints Bar ticket is the cheapest at £210, which is exorbitant considering that tickets for regular League matches start at just £90. For a very small meal and drink package, this is a day-light robbery, but it’s still affordable at less than half the cost of the top package, which is £410.
Who is going to watch a Saints game for £410?
Quite frankly, I find it disgusting that the team is prioritizing making a large profit from the fan base for the biggest game of the season over ensuring that as many Saints supporters as possible are in the stands for the game. The team is obviously trying to milk its own supporters for the most important game of the season.
