Two players will reportedly join other clubs as part of a player swap arrangement involving three separate NRL teams.
The Brisbane Broncos, Canterbury Bulldogs, and North Queensland are all parties to a player swap agreement that will affect their forward stocks; this agreement is expected to be finalized in the next few days and weeks.
News Corp reports that the Cowboys have signed Harrison Edwards from the Bulldogs but will lose Jack Gosiewski to the Brisbane Broncos, who are inner-state rivals.
It’s thought that Gosiewski will likely play two more games for the Cowboys before being released and joining the Broncos.
Conversely, Belmore will lose out to Harrison Edwards, who will sign an initial contract with the North Queensland squad and play for them for the next three seasons.
Gosiewski left after requesting to be freed on several occasions so that he could be nearer to his family. A key feature of the Cowboys forward pack, the second-rower has played 67 first-grade games.
He has played with regard to Cowboys, Manly Sea Eagles, St. George Illawarra Dragons, and South Sydney Rabbitohs throughout this time.
The team has chosen to bring in Harrison Edwards, a 23-year-old who joined the Bulldogs from the Sydney Roosters academy and has appeared in 17 NRL games, in lieu of him leaving North Queensland.
According to Phil Gould on X, the former Twitter platform, Edwards, a lock who is now still growing, departed Belmore in search of fresh prospects.
