Breaking: Ruben Selles Drops Bombshell Injury News for Reading FC – Fans on Edge
The manager of Reading FC, Ruben Selles, gave an update on the team’s injuries prior to their last away game of the season.
The Royals play their final match of the season against Blackpool next week, hosting Burton Albion, who are in danger of relegation.
For their final two games, Reading will probably be without both Tom Holmes and captain Andy Yiadom.
Selles is hopeful that Yiadom’s knee ailment may be resolved during the post-season break and that he will be prepared to begin pre-season.
Selles responded, “No, Tom (Holmes) has a low grade sprained ankle from an incident he had in training a few days ago.”
“He will not play in this game. After that, he will check to see if he can play in the season’s last game.
Additionally unavailable for tomorrow is Andy Yiadom. He probably won’t be available for the final game as well.
“We must perform a crucial treatment on him right away, and the sooner we do it, the better.
The choice is made easy by the fact that he is still not totally fit to participate in football games.
We now want to make sure that he can begin the pre-season and begin his recuperation for the upcoming season if he follows through with the treatment.
“Last year, he missed a significant portion of the preseason, which increases your risk of injury.
“Therefore, we want him to be available starting on the first day after the summer and don’t want to risk a 50/50 situation with him.”
Joel Pereira, who was substituted out against Barnsley due to a cut above his eye, will, according to Selles, be available for Burton.
“The few uncertainties involving Joel Pereira and Jeriel Dorsett, they will be available for tomorrow,” he stated.
