Breaking: Nashville SC Stuns Fans with Star Player Trade to Houston Dynamo
Tennessee’s Nashville Winger McKinze Gaines of Nashville SC was traded to the Houston Dynamo, according to sources who spoke with Broadway Sports Media. In exchange, Nashville will get an amount of GAM that has not yet been determined, making room for an addition during the summer transfer window.
Gaines, 26, was acquired by Nashville from Charlotte FC over the offseason in exchange for a SuperDraft selection in the second round. Gaines scored a goal against Moca FC in the Concacaf Champions Cup and recorded an assist against LA Galaxy in his 276 minutes of play over seven appearances (two starts) for Nashville. Gaines has not been used as a replacement in either of Nashville’s previous four games.
Tuesday, April 23, is the last day of the MLS main transfer window. The secondary window will be open from Thursday, July 18 to Tuesday, August 14, in accordance with the European summer season. Since joining MLS, Nashville has added at least one summer signing each year.
