The Los Angeles Rams, and Matthew Stafford in particular, suffered yet another setback after this Wild Card game was rescheduled because of the California wildfires.
According to TMZ Sports, receiver Demarcus Robinson was charged with one count of misdemeanor DUI.
On Sunday Night Football in Week 12, hours after the Rams’ defeat by the Eagles, Robinson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Robinson was now facing DUI charges months later.
When McVay met with reporters after the news, he firmly defended Robinson’s morals.
“I do believe that Demarcus has a good heart,” McVay said, “and never would have any ill intentions, and clearly there was a decision that’s not in alignment with the things we want to be about.”
Despite being charged with a crime, Robinson is still anticipated to play on Monday night against the Vikings.

Robinson was chosen in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft and spent six years with the Chiefs. In 2022, he played one season with the Baltimore Ravens before joining the Rams in 2023.
2024 has been far more productive than the previous season in his two seasons with the Rams.
Robinson’s higher output makes sense in light of the injuries sustained by Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp during 2024.
In 2024, Robinson recorded a career-high number of receiving yards and touchdowns, marking his best season to date.
Robinson never received more than 500 yards or scored more than four touchdowns in a season prior to the 2024 campaign. That is, until 2024, when Robinson was rewarded with a legitimate starting position on the Rams’ offensive line.
Although Kupp and Nacua’s injuries limited Robinson’s field time, he and Stafford clicked this season and helped the Rams make their fifth postseason appearance under McVay.
