Looking Back, Leaving the Baltimore Ravens Was a Step Up” – Ex-Ravens Star Throws Major Shade at His Former Club with Bold Remarks

In a recent interview, former Baltimore Ravens star wide receiver DeAndre Mitchell didn’t mince words when reflecting on his decision to leave the team. Mitchell, who spent five seasons with the Ravens, described his departure as a pivotal moment in his career, calling it “the best decision I ever made.”

“Looking back, leaving Baltimore was a step up,” Mitchell said bluntly. “I appreciated the city and the fans, but the leadership and culture within the organization? That’s where things fell apart for me.”

Mitchell, who has since thrived with his new team, singled out former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman for criticism. “There was a lack of creativity in the play-calling, and the offense just felt stagnant at times,” Mitchell added. “I wasn’t growing as a player, and that’s when I knew I had to make a change.”

The Ravens, despite being competitive over the years, have been criticized for their offensive struggles, and Mitchell’s remarks appear to shed light on the internal frustrations that led to his departure. Since leaving Baltimore, Mitchell has not only excelled individually but has also become a key contributor to a team vying for a championship.

When asked whether he would ever consider returning to the Ravens, Mitchell didn’t hesitate. “I’m in a much better situation now,” he said. “Leaving was a no-brainer, and I have no regrets.”

While the Ravens have remained relatively quiet about Mitchell’s comments, fans and former teammates are sure to have strong reactions. For now, it’s clear that the once-prominent relationship between Mitchell and the Ravens has taken a sharp turn for the worse.
