But I know this—we gave him a rope to climb. Over a year ago, he started climbing, and maybe he lost his grip, but he’ll climb back up. That rope is still tied to us, and he’ll be fine. He’s part of this team, and I trust him.”
Williams is facing a suspension for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances (PES) policy, but the Lions remain hopeful for his breakout season. Campbell’s remarks signal strong support for the third-year receiver, showing the team’s commitment to helping him overcome the setback.
