“Deal Off the Table: Nay-Sayers Vindicated as Cubs Pass on Jesús Luzardo”

Last night at BCB After Dark, Cubs fans had a spirited discussion about the possibility of acquiring Marlins starter Jesús Luzardo. The poll results reflected a divided fanbase, with 36% voting “Nay!,” 33% saying “Yay!,” and 30% shrugging with a “meh.”

For the 36% who opposed the move, there’s good news: the Cubs appear to have shelved any plans to acquire Luzardo. Whether it was concerns about the trade package, Luzardo’s fit with the team, or simply a better option on the horizon, the decision aligns with the concerns of fans who weren’t sold on the lefty joining the roster.

As the Cubs front office continues to explore their options, fans remain hopeful for a move that will propel the team into serious contention for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates from the trade market!
