Confirmed Deal: Another Major Signing For Nashville Predators
The NHL team held a press conference Tuesday afternoon to welcome Stamkos to Smashville. The Canadian hockey player said he’s “looking forward to playing with guys of this caliber.”
“We want to win a Stanley Cup,” Stamkos told reporters. “You have to believe it if you want to achieve it.”
Stamkos became a free agent when the Lightning cleared significant salary cap space with trades made at the NHL draft. He played for Tampa for 16 years.
The hockey player says he and his wife are currently working to get their children settled into a good neighborhood and school. They’re also busy teaching their kids the Preds chants.
“The excitement is real now,” he added.
