“Columbus Crew Furious After Shocking Defeat! Red Bulls’ Carballo Strikes First as Champions Vow to Avenge Loss!”

Felipe Carballo’s first MLS goal clinched a crucial 1-0 victory for the New York Red Bulls over reigning MLS Cup Champions Columbus Crew in the opening match of their Best-of-3 series. Carballo volleyed a bouncing ball into the net midway through the first half to score the game’s only goal.

Goalkeeper Carlos Coronel was a standout, delivering an impressive eight-save performance that helped secure the shutout. His effort tied the second-most saves in a playoff match in club history and matched his personal best career-high.

The Red Bulls will look to carry this momentum into Game 2, where they’ll again host Columbus at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, November 3, with kickoff at 4:30 p.m. However, the Crew is determined to bounce back from this initial setback and will be looking to equalize the series with a strong response.
