Derby County appear to be closing in on a deal for Djurgarden’s Jacob Widell Zetterstrom as the Rams turned to Europe in a bid to sign a goalkeeper.
The Rams have reportedly agreed a fee with the Swedish club for the 6ft 6ins stopper who has had an excellent season.
According to reports in Scandinavia, Zetterstrom will have to undergo a medical and could feature in Djurgarden’s Europa Conference League clash against Progres on Thursday.
It is claimed the deal is worth 20m SEK (£1.4m) and should the formalities be completed it will bring Derby’s search for a goalkeeper to an end. The club has looked at Daniel Iversen of Leicester City and had also been linked with Marek Rodak who is a free agent after leaving Fulham.
