Breaking News : Crystal Palace Left Speechless By Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s UNBELIEVABLE Decision

Alan Nixon has now suggested on his Patreon that Jesurun Rak-Sakyi chose to stay in London, rather than travel to Baltimore for the pre-season tour of the United States.

The reliable journalist states that Crystal Palace wanted the 21-year-old to fight for a place in the starting XI this summer, so the decision to stay in England has “raised question marks” at Selhurst Park.

Along with Southampton, Leeds are also looking to sign Rak-Sakyi this summer.

Nixon’s update does align with information from Sky Sports about the Crystal Palace academy graduate.

It was said that Rak-Sakyi is keen to leave Crystal Palace this summer after a miserable 2023/24 campaign, in which he made just six Premier League appearances, totalling just 132 minutes.

While it would unquestionably be a bitter blow to lose such a promising talent, nobody can blame Rak-Sakyi for wanting to leave.

Crystal Palace handled the winger’s development terribly last season, restricting him to the bench for a whole year after such a promising 2022/23 campaign on loan at Charlton, where he scored 15 goals and provided ten assists in 50 appearances, winning the Player of the Season award at The Valley.
A loan to a Championship side, or more involvement in the first-team, should have been prioritised.

It was a complete and utter waste of a crucial season in Rak-Sakyi’s career.
Hopefully, Oliver Glasner can find a way to convince the Londoner that his future is best served in SE25, or else Crystal Palace are in real danger of losing a top talent.
