Breaking: Heat Under Fire to Drop $120 Million 20-Point Scorer

Trading Tyler Herro is one way they could get better. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report outlined the reasons why trading Herro might be in the Heat’s best interests.

Regarding who the Heat should acquire in Herro’s place, Buckley did not go into detail. They may find it challenging to move him because he is now in the first year of a $120 million, four-year contract.
Throughout the 2023–24 campaign, Herro has participated in 36 games. Through that period, he has averaging 20.8 points per game. Beginning with the 2021–22 campaign, he has averaged 20 points per game for the past three seasons.
Herro is still unavailable for the Heat, despite his talent. Herro will not be available for the Heat’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel.

Herro’s absence might have an impact on the Heat’s ranking in the Eastern Conference. With their current record of 42-33, they are ranked as the conference’s sixth seed.
As the eighth seed, the Sixers are a full game behind them. The Heat could have some breathing room in the play-in race if they win this game. If they lose, it might be the only thing separating them from perhaps missing the playoffs entirely.
