Behind Closed Doors: Millwall Boss Breaks Silence on Summer Transfer Sensation’s Championship Debut
Neil Harris, the head coach of Millwall, has commented on Casper De Norre’s debut season in English football. In late July, the midfielder from OH Leuven was acquired by the Lions.
The 27-year-old De Norre started 22 of his 32 Championship games and netted his first goal in the team’s final-day triumph over Swansea City. Before Harris was named manager in February, he suffered an achilles ailment that also damaged his lower calf, causing him to miss eight games.
For Casper, “it’s been a strange season,” Harris said to the South London Press.He arrived in England full of anticipation, joining a team that had almost missed the playoffs. He has worked for three different head coaches and, more than likely, three quite different personalities. ”
He has been on the team, off the team, and back on the team…A player finds it difficult to maintain consistency throughout that time.
His performance in the last several games speaks volumes about his character and desire to play for Millwall. It was crucial for him to perform so well and score the goal against Swansea. “I have stated that the team leaves in a positive state and returns with confidence; the same is true for Casper.”
