“Bold Moves Win Championships”: Raiders Make Bold Move to Land Star QB in Shocking NFL Mock Draft
The Las Vegas Raiders fell out of the top five in the order for the NFL draft after their win against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Raiders held the number one pick going into the game and are now sixth in the order. However, CBS Sports predicts the team will trade up in the draft to get their future quarterback. While the order for the 2025 NFL draft is not officially set, Las Vegas’ win on Sunday likely took them out of the top three picks, meaning they would have to trade up in order to get their fan-favorite quarterback, Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders seems to have a close relationship with the Raiders this season, and his dad, Colorado head coach and NFL legend Deion Sanders, is also good friends with Las Vegas’ head coach Antonio Pierce. The star quarterback has shown interest in going to the Raiders by posting, “Thank God,” on social media every time the team loses, making them more likely to be able to draft him. While Sanders seems to favor the Raiders, the New York Giants currently hold the number one pick in the draft, and they are also in need of a new quarterback. LAs Vegas’ best hope is to trade up in the draft, and hope New York selects Miami quarterback Cam Ward with their pick.
